Andrew Nunn – Chair
andrew.nunn@worlingworthparishcouncil.gov.uk
I moved back to Suffolk, and in particular Worlingworth in 2016, having spent the previous 10 years in Kent, a move at that time from our earlier home just across the border in South Norfolk.
I was previously employed at Ipswich Borough Council as a Corporate Building Surveyor, and enjoy looking after their portfolio of buildings, however I do not classify myself as a “townie”. I like the tranquillity and sense of belonging that you get in a village.
I am married to Anne and this is also a return to her roots, she spent her early years at Athelington Hall, just some 3 miles from our ‘now’ home.
We both love Suffolk and all that the village and the County offer
I hope that I can bring to the Parish Council, and the Village, some experience in maintaining the village way of life, but allowing for 21st Century ideas and technology to help maintain and enhance our lives and breath new life into the village rather than letting it wither on the vine as everybody relocates to towns for work, a balance that I hope and firmly believe is achievable.
Jane O’vel

My connection with Suffolk goes back to my childhood, where we came regularly for holidays and to my father’s family house. Later, my husband Steve and I had a caravan at Southwold where we spent every available weekend and holiday, and we both knew that eventually we wanted to live in the county.
After 35 years as a family solicitor we finally made the move in 2018 to Worlingworth. My husband has links with the sea having a Cornish heritage and I with the countryside, my father’s family having farmed Essex in one way or another for some 3 generations before him. I became a locum but when work effectively ended due to covid I found I needed to do something useful to fill my time. I was subsequently asked to join the PCC, and become a Foundation Governor of our C of E school, and when the opportunity came to join the Parish Council, and hopefully to engage further with village, I jumped at the opportunity.
I am keen to preserve the village way of life, but ensuring that there is sufficient infrastructure to give residents a life from which they will be reluctant to move. I would like to see a real push to regain a village shop, and café where people or small groups can meet and I would like to see Worlingworth return to its “Most Active Village” title, making activities and the opportunity to pursue them inclusive of all villagers whatever their ages and interests.

I moved to worlingworth in Dec 2019 having moved from Bedfordshire. We lived there for 10 Years , before I lived in Bedfordshire I lived and grew up in North Norfolk. I live in Worlingworth with my family. We run.m small farm with several enterprises on site. On top of the Farm I run an Agricultural Wholesale Business based in Oakham, Rutland.
I live in worlingworth with my wife Emma and four children. Amelie, Charlotte, Martha and Hugo.
I became a Parish Councillor because I wanted to become more involved in the life of the community and be involved with community rather than sit on the sidelines.
When I’m not working, I enjoy country walks with all the family.
Andrew Luton – Webmaster

I have lived in Norfolk or Suffolk for most of my life and we moved to the village in Spring 2021.
I felt that by joining the Parish Council I could become more active in the community, and help support those things that would be advantageous to us all.
I believe change is inevitable for the local area, ubiquitous delivery services, ultra-fast internet, work from home jobs, will all change the way many of us live and the people that choose to live in the village. I hope as part of the Parish Council we can help manage these changes in the best way possible.

I moved to Suffolk in 2007 from North London. I spent 14 years living and working in Felixstowe as a HGV Driver out of the Port of Felixstowe. We had to relocate a few years after my youngest daughter came to live with me and in 2021 we found ourselves moving to the village .
Having always lived in big cities I found the country living a breath of fresh air and a safer place to raise my daughter. We now consider this our forever home. Which is why I wanted to become involved with many aspects of village life, and bring a fresh outlook and ideas to maintain all that makes this village a wonderful place to live for all residents.
Crispin Durand

Longtime suffolk resident, now living in the heart of mid suffolk, Worlingworth. Country pursuits and customs, play an important part in life, and I am determined to uphold these in the service of Worlingworth and its residents. Building a strong community and strengthening the roots that tie the people together is paramount to a healthy and vibrant community. Stewardship of the countryside, its traditions and the villages place within these systems that have been built through the ages cannot be overemphasised and will be my driving factor in any decisions made.
Sarah Clare – Parish Clerk
clerk@worlingworthparishcouncil.gov.uk
I was brought up in Surrey, but moved to Suffolk in November 1998 to run a specialist fuchsia and pelargonium nursery on the outskirts of Bacton. After 27 years of exhibiting at all the major flower show events in the UK, including Chelsea, and operating a UK wide mail order service. I am now focussing solely on administration work, whilst caring for my elderly mother.
I clerk for four Parish Councils in Mid Suffolk, and I am also Secretary/Treasurer for the Horticultural Exhibitors Association, a UK wide organisation supporting and promoting flower shows and their exhibitors.
I have an extensive background in administration and bring this skill set to the role of Parish Clerk. I have been the Clerk to Worlingworth now since September 2014 and I thoroughly enjoy meeting all the residents and being involved in the life of the village.
