“It has come to the attention of the Parish Council that the piece of grass at the junction of Old Stores Close and Shop Street has, and is, being used for the unauthorised disposal of garden waste etc, this not only makes the village look untidy, it will encourage rats and mice, but furthermore prevents the contractors employed by the Parish Council for maintaining public open spaces within the village,”
